Open Pattern Creation Class with Susan

After learning the basics in the Garment Design from Your Basic Sloper workshop, continue developing your pattern-making skills, garment by garment. In this class, Susan will guide you in adding additional styling to your patterns.

You may start with a design of your choice based on a picture, drawing, or by adapting a commercial pattern. Alternatively, bring a design project in progress to learn more techniques.

We will review the cutting and assembly steps for garment construction, and fitting adjustments can be made to your muslin constructed from the new pattern.

Schedule your class session as needed:

• Wednesday mornings or afternoons
• Saturday mornings 

What to Bring:

• Your Basic Sloper pattern
• Your measurement chart and pattern book
• Notebook to take notes
• 18” clear ruler
• Pencil and red pencil
• Paper scissors
• Invisible tape
